VAL Tracker is now preround
A full rebuild with a new name, its own app window, a cleaner interface, more stats per player and much more reliable ranks.
New
- Its own app window with a dark custom title bar. No browser tab and no console window. Drag it from anywhere on the top bar, double-click to maximize, and resize from the bottom-right corner.
- Pin to keep on top. One click keeps preround above your other windows. With VALORANT in Windowed Fullscreen, it stays visible over the game.
- Fluid layout that fills the window. Player rows grow and shrink as you resize, icons and text scale with them, and on narrow windows the Vandal skin moves into the player line.
- Recent KDA for every player, based on their last three competitive matches. It loads in the background so the lobby appears right away.
- Win rate column showing each player's competitive win percentage.
- Agent art and colors on every player row, plus rank emblems for current and peak rank.
- Account levels for all ten players, not just friends and party members. Players who hide their level stay hidden.
- Light and dark mode in the app and on the website. It follows your system setting and remembers your choice.
- Live map and score in the header, plus a manual refresh button.
- Debug log to help track down problems, saved in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\preround.
Improved
- More reliable ranks. preround now reads the exact game version from VALORANT itself, so Riot no longer rejects rank requests, and it falls back to the current act's rank when needed.
- Correct peak ranks for seasons before Episode 5, when the rank tiers were renumbered. Old Immortal and Radiant peaks now show correctly.
- Works in every region. Your server region is detected automatically, so EU, AP, KR and LATAM players get the right data.
- Handles Riot's rate limits automatically by waiting and retrying, so fewer players show up as Unranked.
- Always up to date. New skins and agents appear automatically, and their data is saved between launches.
- Smoother performance. Match details load quietly in the background, so the window stays responsive while your lobby fills in.
- Faster startup when detecting your region.
- Maximize keeps your taskbar visible, and dragging a maximized window restores it under your cursor.
- Always opens. If the app window can't open on your PC, preround opens in your browser instead.
Fixed
- The tracker no longer gets stuck after restarting VALORANT while it's open.
- Pressing refresh no longer clashes with the automatic refresh.
- Fewer false antivirus warnings on the downloaded app.
